The 15-year-old from Ann Arbor Pioneer High School became only the third sophomore in XC Championship history to win the title when she crossed the line at Balboa Park in 16:55.5. In her undefeated sophomore season, she became the only girl ever to win both the Brooks XC Championships and Nike Cross Nationals. She broke the Michigan state course record by 23 seconds en route to a 16:09.50 victory at the MHSAA LP Division 1 state meet. Natasza followed in the footsteps of her sister, Zofia, who won the XC National Championship at Balboa Park in 2019.
With a win at the Brooks XC Championships, the senior from Herriman, Utah capped an undefeated senior campaign which included a win at Nike Cross Nationals, a course record of 14:17 on the storied Woodward Park course and a UHSAA Class 6A state title, which he secured in a course record of 14:29.8, 47 seconds ahead of 2nd place. Following the high school season, Spencer finished 18th at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Tallahassee, FL to help the United States to a bronze medal.
